Sadly this show didn’t pan out - Japanther had to back out last minute due to a family emergency as well as trying to book a very last minute flight ticket (no go.). Regardless, Camembert played on as did the fine chaps from Bayonets!!! and Bebop Cortez. It was a night to remember, though were all a bit sad to miss out on what would have surely been an awesome JAPANTHER set. Until next time!

note: Camembert album is currently getting recordonated. Get ready to slay some cheese.

Hi all. I used to host this blog and domain through Godaddy. After realizing that being hosted on the back of the slowest piece of crap in the history of domain and hosting, I decided to switch to something new and faster, and more local. It’s nice! Blogs posts don’t take 20minutes to load, and generally, things feel much more reliable. This explains the lack of updates in the past week or so.

In this shift, I’ve lost a database. Basically this means that my photo blog is now going to become fused with this one. On the left you can see a “photo oto oto” link that, when clicked, will only show all of my boring photos that I’ve posted. Sadly, they will also show up in this main stream. Life is shit?

Just having fun in the sketchbook and letting loose all those ugly demons that don’t usually seem fitting for safer publications. I like making safer, children-ready illustrations, I really do! But sometimes, you just want to be an adult.

Astrology is for Dumbs

Recently the internet informed me of some sort of mass freakout due to a new zodiac sign bumping all the other signs around and making people realize they were never the Capricorn or Pisces they always thought they were. Idiots. But I was curious, so I researched this new zodiac, and found out his name is Ophiuchus, and since the dawn of forever ago, he’s been hanging out in the sky with a giant snake around his waste. Also turns out he bumped my Sagittarius out of the way. But really, who gives a sh*t about that astrology bologna.

Anyway I recently had some printing time booked up at SNAP, so on my last day I thought I’d run in there and quickly bust off a print without any plans – the result seen above. A very short run of prints: only 4 were made on nice 300lb watercolour paper. You can bid on one of them at the upcoming 53 Ways To Leave Your Lover at Latitude 53. It’s that time of year again where single losers commit suicide or masturbate profusely. SNAP held an open house a week ago where you could walk in and letterpress your own V-Day cards. These are from my production run, and I have a small batch of each card. If you really want one, paypal me 2 bucks (holinaty at gmail dot com) and I’ll mail one, or all three, your way. Good pal and wizard of words, Matt Prins, enjoys making instant books when he’s not busy making instant books. Recently he approached me, along with Genevieve and a slew of other fine people, to take on a letter for his Alphabooks are the Future project. In summary, each person is assigned a letter of the alphabet and are to submit their own instantbook with a title starting with said letter . The results are very exciting to read, are being posted one letter per day. Today is “I”. I was H. I was yesterday. Genevieve was G, and was yesterday’s yesterday. If you like to write, you should submit stuff to Matt. If you like to read, you should peruse his blog — it’s filled with serious gemwork.
