Happening tonight at the ARTLIFE Gallery in Calgary is the Sled Island Music Festival Poster Show. Every year a select number of artists are asked to design posters for some of the festival’s “bigger” acts, and this year I was lucky enough to be asked to do the posters for one of my favourite bands of recent times, Liars.

These are three colour serigraph prints made by hand by yours truly. These are printed on lovely 15″x 20″ Stonehenge paper. Sexy!

Liars’ first show is an early evening show on the 26th of June, where they play at about 8pm at an outdoor venue, thus the orange sunset / hue in the print. The next night they play a more “all ages” show, on the 27th at 1 am, therefore a night scene. Each of the posters come in editions of only 50. I will be at both Liars shows with these posters for sale. They will be going for $20 a pop! If you can’t make it to the concerts themselves, go to the ARTlife gallery tonight and scoop one up. They are selling at the gallery for $30 per print, and they only have 5 of each, so there’s a chance that they won’t last long!

Now that the Royal Bison is done and over with, it’s time to unveil the new stock at the International Beauty Saloon Store.

Firstly, the brand new issue of our IBS zine, IBS3. It is more than twice as thick, and is jam packed with great content from about 11 contributors. It’s going for the same low price as it always has… $5 plus shipping.

Genevieve and I finally got our butts in gear and have our mini-store site up and running. It’s at International-bs.ca. It’s Pay Pal friendly, and if you buy more than one thing, shipping costs (could) go down, down, down! (Duh)

Our selection of goods is currently pretty small. But keep your eyes open. It should be updated on the exact moment we have something for new sale… and every now and then you might even find some authentic Original Art pieces as well.
