The Globe & Mail’s Facts & Arguments

kid_food
I was approached last week to whip up a silly cartoon / illustration for Cinders McLeod, Design Editor at The Globe & Mail, about the secret to life as a parent; how to get those kids to eat all those darn vegetables, and other tasteless matter.  It was made for the regular Facts & Arguments essay, in the Life section.  This would be my first time working with the folks at The Globe, and found it refreshing (e.g. Cinders wanted the quickest and roughest sketches = trust). I’ve always respected their newspaper, and refer to it as the NYTimes of the Great North, one of the best in Canada…

Also: turns out they liked it enough that they want to see another one for next week. Yay!

Congrats! So proud of you!! :)

I just want to say that I love your use of colour (in all your illustrations). The colours always work so well together. Next time I re-decorate a room, I’m getting your advice on colour.
